Aftermath of 9/11 Stepping Up Security

It seems like yesterday I was sitting watching the horror of the World Trade Towers burning and tumbling to the ground, leaving thousands dead and dying and the world crying.  The attack though on American Soil was not just aimed at us, but at all the nations, countries, and people of the world.  So the name the World Trade Towers.

These two buildings housed people from every country doing business together, cooperating, sharing and bringing the people from everywhere closer together.  It was a symbol of freedom for all.

Today a couple years later, I now watch security messages on TV, we have gone from code yellow to code orange, they have dropped the code down again, we are at high alert, don’t worry, continue on about your business, but be looking over your shoulder there are crazy people out there.

The threat of worldwide terrorism is real, and I do believe that our President who was put in a very difficult situation along with our other government officials, Military, secret service, and everyone one who is playing a part in keeping us safe are doing a fantastic job.

I say “THANK YOU” to all these people who are keeping our country and the world safe and free, these people, are the ones taking all the risks, giving up their lives, and Loving this country so much that they are willing to go that extra mile to keep us safe, so that I/you can wake up each day knowing that today is another day to live your dreams.  They are all of our 'Heroes'.

Ending the Terrorism in Our Own Back Yard

The U.S. Government is busy ending terrorism around the world, I do believe that each of us need to be put on High Alert, for it is time we end the terrorism in our own back yards.  Throughout, this great nation, in every city, town, community and neighborhood we have our own wars and battles going on.  We have murders, muggings, rapes, assaults, domestic violence, gangs, shall I continue?  No I think you get the picture.

The fact is these things are also terrorism.  However, we have come to accept them in our daily lives.  They are what makes the news interesting, and makes on-lookers gather to sneak a peak, or gives us something to talk about with our friends, “Oh, did you see, so and so got shot yesterday, or there is a rapist out there attacking women of all ages, or did you know that Sally and Fred were fighting, he killed her then committed suicide”.   Very intriguing conversations we are having, and it does sell newspapers and brings up the ratings for TV stations.

Remember these acts of terrorism could happen to you, your mother, your father, sister, brother, child…face it everyone it does happen to, is someone’s mom, father, sister, brother, child and so on.

So why do these things happening to people?  Because we have Crazy People living in our own backyard and because we allow it to happen.

And when I say 'WE',  I mean YOU AND ME!

Nothing goes on anywhere that someone doesn’t See happen, Hear happen, Know it’s going to happen, Witness happening or Suspect is happening…

What DOES go on is no one wants to get involved.   Everyone is afraid someone will find out it was him or her that told…

HELLO SO ENTERS….CRIME STOPPERS…every community has one, so if  you don’t want to call 911, which is the best thing to do!  Because you are in fear your name will be given out for calling.  Call Crime Stoppers they’ll even reward you for doing so.

Let’s End the Terrorism in our own back yards, Lets send out a Strong Message that America is not going to put up or allow anyone to hurt any of its people in anyway, whether the terrorist come from a foreign country or is the Mugger hiding in the shadows of the local park.

Most people today have telephones, or Cell phones, if not there is usually a payphone close by…PLEASE…

If you SEE, HEAR; KNOW THATIS HAPPENING OR GOING TO HAPPEN, WITNESS OR SUSPECT, ANY kind of VIOLENCE OR ABUSE.

Call 911, Crime Stoppers or Your Local Law Enforcement,

YOUR 1 phone call CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Remembrance of 9/11

There are certain dates and times in our lives that we will always remember what we were doing, where we were and whom we were with. These are the times that have left such an image, impact or emotion that they will be forever etched in our minds and hearts. September 11, 2001 is one of those days.

This day affected us all, as an extended family we have all felt the pain of the loss of loved ones, neighbors and friends, we have all felt the horror and the feeling of helplessness.

Our innocence was lost to the reality of worldwide terrorism. We thank God for the Leaders of the Countries who have come together to End Terrorism around the World, and for President Bush, and our Government for helping insuring our safety as a country as well as individuals.

We will never be able to remove the pain of so many, or replace those that were lost and loved. We can now only look toward the future and be aware of what we need to do to not ever allow that day to ever happen again. Acts of Violence and Abuse unfortunatelly happen everyday in every community, if we are to end the violence/abuse and terrorism, we must also ALL CARE ENOUGH do so in our own back yard, in our own families, in our own communities.

Remember if you SEE, HEAR, WITNESS or SUSPECT VIOLENCE or ABUSE CALL 911 or your local Law Enforcement agency. We can stop violence and abuse.
